Most people think trestles are only good for a table or desk. Well guess what? MOST PEOPLE ARE WRONG!!!

1. Imagine Shawn Johnson’s chagrin when you bring home gold at the 2012 Olympics – simply from practicing the parallel bars on two trestles!!!

2. Or think about the awesome forts you (or your kids) will make. Teatime with Big Bear and the gang will never be the same!!!

3. Did someone say strength training? Get rock solid abs in 30 days with the 2-trestle Xtreme Workout!!!

4. Company coming over for the weekend? Give them a very uncomfortable and potentially dangerous sleeping arrangement: two trestles and a mattress!!! (I don’t actually recommend doing this.)

TRUE STORY: These trestles supported my desk when I went to school. I graduated with honours. Coincidence? I DON’T THINK SO!!!

Slap boredom in the face with a pair of trestles and make your life exciting!!! $50 for 2!!!

Hey boys – ’tis the season for lawn mowing and new love. These are the only two things missing in my life.

First order of the business: the lawn. Our small front lawn, and largish back lawn have grown out of control after all the rain we have had as of late. It’s about 1.5 feet tall, and growing taller by the second. We are four lovely ladies lacking a lawn mower. This is where you come in.

Second order of business: you and me. I’m a sexy young 20 something lady offering a date (my treat) in exchange for a mowed lawn. We will also offer homemade baked goods to sweeten the deal.

However this lawn may be more than you can handle alone. For this reason, my sultry single roommate has graciously agreed to offer the same deal for your friend who helps you out with the task. I have a free couch for anyone who can get it back out of my room.
It’s a comfy couch, cool stripe velvet in great shape, impossibly uncomfortable sleeper, but otherwise easily worth $50-75 bucks in Craigslist land.

So why am I listing in for free? Because I am pretty sure it is physically impossible to remove this thing from my second story bedroom down the narrow hallway, down the narrower staircase and out the front door of my little Victorian duplex. How did we get it up here in the first place? Magic… well, it did involve taking several doors off the hinges, 4 people, and about 3 1/2 hours of cursing the gods. However, I don’t feel like doing it all again, and I’m not about to have a stranger (no offense) taking apart my house for a deal on a sofa.

So, if you can bend space and miraculously make this thing fit, such powers shall be awarded with a free couch. Likewise, if you can alter time and go back to when we first bought the monstrosity and prevent us from attempting to bring it upstairs in the first place, you shall also have the honor of owning this couch bestowed on you.

This one of a kind “WhaleMobile” is for sale. It needs new tires, but otherwise starts right up and runs fine. Not street legal, but still fun to drive, good for birthday parties and events. A lever inside the cockpit controls the whale tail, and allows some up and down motion. Water pump inside cockpit still works, and will build up pressure to be released through blowhole up top. It has working headlights.

This was a project my grandfather worked on when I was a kid, and it used to terrify me, as I have an inexplicable fear of these evil creatures. I am hoping to sell it by the end of the month, as I owe child support and don’t have the cash to cover it at the moment. This was built off of the frame of an otherwise perfect 1986 Yugo Cabrio. The vehicle itself has 38,000 miles on it, but it was badly damaged in a hailstorm and the bodywork was completely demolished. My grandfather got the idea of turning it into a WhaleMobile off of some cartoon, and he took his crazy idea and ran with it.

Dear Sir or Madam who stole my bicycle wheel,
I have a proposal.

For several days after you stole my 26-rear wheel from my mountain bike, you caused me a dilemma. All I could think of were two options.
1) Buy a new rear wheel – This hardly seemed worthwhile because my bike only cost $25 from Goodwill when I got it and a new back wheel/tire will cost two to three times that much.
2) Buy a used wheel from the Ashby Flea market – We all know this is where stolen wheels go to find new homes. (In fact, I have searched here for my wheel to no avail.) While this option is cheap ($10), it would feel like I am benefiting from someone else’s misfortune. (Probably because I would be benefiting from someone else’s misfortune).

But then I had a brilliant idea.

Rather than buying a new wheel or a used wheel stolen from someone else, why don’t you sell me back my own wheel. I can pay you the $10 you would have made and then I can save the time and stress of finding a new wheel. If it makes a difference, I could even pay you in alcohol or whatever drug habit you were trying to feed.

We can even meet on the same corner where you took my wheel and make it feel all natural. You can walk by and say, “Hey buddy, I notice that your bike seems to be missing a rear wheel. Well, it just so happens I have an extra rear wheel right here with me. Would you like it?” And I can say, “You’re right, kind sir. I am missing a rear wheel. That is very nice of you. It just so happens that I have $10 worth of alcohol, that I was going to use drown my sorrow about not having a bicycle wheel. But now that I have a bicycle wheel, I don’t need it. Why don’t you take it.” And then we can both feel good about ourselves.

So I posted an ad asking to exchange the packing tape pictured below for a sixer of beer. I figured this would be no big deal – a basic easy trade with no lingering anxieties or questions left unanswered. Tape is tape and beer is… well… delicious. However, my ad was flagged. This leaves me mildly upset. Bartering for beer is a practice I commonly use in Wisconsin. I’ll be at Culver’s (also delicious) with some friends and I’ll be out of cash so they’ll pick up my tab. And instead of owing them $5.31 or whatever I’ll just owe them a beer or two next time we go out. Easy. Very easy. So easy, in fact, that I thought the same principal could be applied to the barter system on Craig’s List. But alas, this extraordinary website I have relied on for so much (my job, my apartment, a few gigs, even a date or two), has let me down. Burried in the fine print I see the prohibited list includes: “Alcohol or tobacco products.” Sigh. Too bad Craigslist is based out of California – where unhappy cows come from – instead of the Great State of Wisconsin. Then we would only be able to barter for beer, cheese and brats.

I guess the point is that I’m still trying to get rid of this packing tape. So now I am asking to trade the 6 pack packing tape for $5 so I can purchase the 6 pack of beer. I’ll even throw in a bonus roll. Other offers will be entertained, including a trade for non-California cheese.
